What does Nano-Sized Mean and Why Does it Matter?
Atoms are incredibly small. In fact, if you lined up one billion of the smallest atoms next to each other, you’d have just 4 inches-worth of atoms. When we talk about the size of atoms, we usually go down to the incredibly tiny lengths of nanometers, which is one billionth of a meter (for reference, people are about 1.5 meters tall). So, what does it mean to say we “Nano-sized” something?
Nano-sizing means we took the general size of something – like say a bubble – and managed to get that bubble down to a much smaller size, on the scale of nanometers and atoms. This is exactly what we are talking about when we discuss how we have Nano-sized our CBD products: we have taken the clumps of fat and oil that the molecules normally assemble themselves in, and made those clumps significantly smaller, effectively eliminating the clump-like nature of them. So why does that matter?
When something is Nano-sized, it naturally mixes in with other substances much more easily. Substances like water. Given that the majority of human mass is water, Nano-sizing is highly convenient for getting substances that are normally not water-soluble to mix with and diffuse into water. This assists in absorption across water layers inside the human digestive system and improves transport through the water-filled human bloodstream. All of this is possible because of the Nano-sizing.
